Loto-Québec Announces Partnership with Germain Hotels for New Project

Saturday, November 16, 2024

Loto-Québec is delighted to announce that Germain Hotels has been chosen to manage the highly anticipated hotel near the Casino de Montréal. After an extensive proposal process, Germain Hotels, under its prestigious Le Germain Hotels brand, emerged as the perfect partner for the project. The new hotel will be distinguished by its innovative design and exceptional guest experience, hallmarks of the Germain Hotels portfolio.

The hotel, featuring approximately 200 rooms, will be solely owned by Loto-Québec, with all profits reinvested into the province. This exciting development is set to enhance the entertainment offerings of the casino and solidify its status as a premier tourist destination in Québec.

“We’re very proud to join forces with Germain Hotels, a local family business that is, like us, passionate about customer service. Loto-Québec looks forward to building a premium hotel, an icon for the city, at the heart of beautiful Parc Jean-Drapeau. The hotel will make the Casino de Montréal a more complete and appealing entertainment destination. We can’t wait to welcome the first customers,” says Jean-François Bergeron, President and Chief Executive Officer at Loto-Québec.

“We’re very proud to work on this project with Loto-Québec, known for its entertainment and customer service know-how. We couldn’t dream of a better location to offer accommodation options, next to the Casino de Montréal and close to where some of the biggest events in the city are held. We’re very proud to lend our name and standards to this hotel,” add Hugo and Marie Pier Germain, Vice-President, Operations and Vice-President, Sales and Marketing, respectively, at Germain Hotels.

Loto-Québec is collaborating with multiple partners to finalize plans for its upcoming hotel, aiming to establish it as one of Montréal’s most iconic landmarks. The project will prioritize sustainable construction practices, ensuring minimal environmental impact while maintaining the highest standards. Designed with a distinctive architectural style, the hotel will seamlessly integrate into its surroundings and preserve the natural beauty of Parc Jean-Drapeau.

Construction will commence once all plans receive the necessary approvals. The hotel is expected to open its doors to guests within the next two to three years, joining the esteemed Hilton Lac-Leamy and Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu in Loto-Québec’s real estate portfolio.
